Gynaecological Problems
“A woman is at her prime, when she is healthiest, both mentally and physically!”

At Puberty:-

Puberty is the time in a person’s life when his or her body changes from child to adult, accompanied by the process of sexual maturation. Puberty is caused by changes in hormones and includes both physical and emotional growth. This confusing time of a young girl’s life is made simpler and easier when Dr. Swati Shah is there to guide her. Menstrual irregularities related to hormonal changes as well as conditions such as Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) which is found very commonly in adolescent women are treated by Dr. Shah. Counseling regarding pubertal health issues as well as sexual education is provided too!

In Young Women:

Menstrual problems such as heavy bleeding, painful bleeding, irregular cycles, scarce bleeding, and even other Gynecological problems such as Fibroids in the uterus, Polyps in the reproductive tract, Prolapse of uterus, Endometriosis, Urinary incontinence, Infertility- either primary or secondary to any other causative factor are assessed by Dr. Swati Shah, and treated promptly to reduce the pain, suffering and embarrassment.

For women who wish to do so, vaginal tightening is also done. Infertility assessment with the help of laparoscopic procedures is done (Refer to section “Laparoscopy” for further details.)

At Menopause:

Menopause is the time in a woman’s life when the function of the ovaries ceases. The process of menopause does not occur overnight, but rather is a gradual process. This so-called perimenopausal transition period is a different experience for each woman.

Menopause can cause many changes in your body. Symptoms may include hot flashes, weight gain, or menstrual irregularities. Women may develop uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, prolapse- the displacement of uterus from its place, and urinary incontinence These are all indications for surgical management, and Dr. Shah can very well do so, both laparoscopically as well as non-laparoscopically!

Women well past their menopausal age can develop bleeding and this could be an indication of underlying malignant changes in the reproductive tract. Dr. Swati Shah can take care of these problems and guide you through these trying times with her wise words of counsel.
